Eh Matertial: Casting announced for Holiday! An Improvised Musical

Bad Dog and Factory Theatre have announced casting for Holiday! An Improvised Musical which returns to Toronto for its third year December 10-20, 2025. Created and directed by the legendary Jan Caruana, Holiday! will star AP Bautista, Aurora Browne, Brandon Hackett, Kyah Green, Nadine Djoury, Reid Janisse, Sam Hancock, Stephanie Malek, and Trevor Martin with music from Scott Christian.

Folk Lordz's Todd Houseman will present Children of the Bear at Native Earth's Weesageechak Begins to Dance 38 festival on November 21 and 23 at Aki Studio. Co-produced by Outside The March the cast will include Joelle Peters, Jeremy Proulx, Zara Jestadt, Dillan Chiblow, Kole Dunford and Vance Banzo. Children of the Bear is an open-world, Indigi-fantasy play about a young, low-income family’s attempts to rise above the colonial structures that surround them. Using a tabletop D&D-style design, audiences help the family either by escaping more deeply into the game of fantasy or becoming the Crees their ancestors want them to be.

Invasion: Christmas Carol runs December 2 to 14 at The Assembly Theatre in Toronto. Each night a surprise guest from Toronto’s comedy scene crashes the show and forces Scrooge and company to improvise their way through Dickens’ world. The cast includes Jamie Cavanagh, Tim Blair, Lucy Hill, Liz Johnston, Richard Lam, Paloma Nuñez and guests including Colin Mochrie, Andrew Phung and stars from Baroness von Sketch Show, Pretty Hard Cases, and This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
