Eh Material: Color Me Country Reveals New Book
Rissi Palmer and Color Me Country Radio have announced the new book Color Me Country: A Celebration of Black Women Who Shaped Country Music will be released in Summer 2026 with pre-orders available now. "Illustrated by Rhiannon Giddens, edited by Kelly McCartney and Rissi Palmer, and written by a who’s who of Black, Brown, and Queer journalists and writers.The book is a love letter to the pioneers in Country, Americana, and roots music who set the stage - or grace it today - with guts and soul." All proceeds from the sales of this book go to the Color Me Country Artist Grant Fund and Rainey Day Fund, both of which benefit marginalized artists and creators in Country and Roots music.
Dolly Parton was the recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 16th Governors Awards on November 16. The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award is "given to an individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry by promoting human welfare and contributing to rectifying inequities."

The Second City Toronto announced the cast for Rudolph Runs Wild - A Holiday Show for Kids running on the MainStage November 29-December 31. Directed by Mark Andrada, Rudolph Runs Wild will star Christian Smith, Jack Mosshammer, Sharjil Rasool, Liz Johnston, Lizzie Song, and Ellie Posadas with musical direction from Nicole Bylow.
